Course Description

Objectives of the Programme

Certificate IV in Marketing and Sales is constructed to broaden and deepen the knowledge of students with the basics of marketing and sales. Higher levels of marketing ability need knowledge of markets, market research, distribution channels, marketing strategies and more to be successful in marketing.  The programme covers these and helps to build the selling ability by addressing the essential skills salesmanship demands acknowledging that both marketing and sales go together in the fiercely competitive business world today.

The programme consists of 8 modules spread over 2 semesters as given below:

Semester 1

  • C4102 Business Communication and Presentational Skills
  • C4108 Fundamentals of Marketing and Sales
  • C4110 Introduction to Business Administration
  • C4111 Introduction to Economics

Semester 2

  • C4101 Approaches to Office Management Methods
  • C4104 Consumer Behaviour: The Key Concepts
  • C4113 Introduction to Financial Accounting
  • C4118 Pricing Strategies

Entry Requirements

General entry requirements:

  • Successful completion of Lower Secondary Education OR attainment of a Level 3 qualification

Alternative entry requirements:

  • 18 years old and 1 year work experience AND proficiency in the English language

Other Details of the Programme

  • Credits: 120
  • Duration: 1 Year
  • Assessments: One individual assignment, one group assignment and an end of term exam every semester
